We Are Expanding to 28 Counties!

After 31 years in the business of child care resource and referral, we are excited to be expanding our service delivery area. Beginning April 1, 2011, we started serving 19 new counties in north central Kansas. We are dedicated to continuing to provide our services to child care providers in our current nine counties (Shawnee, Douglas, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Jackson, Jefferson, Osage and Franklin) and are pleased to be able to help even more providers through our nineteen county expansion (Smith, Jewell, Republic, Washington, Marshall, Osborne, Mitchell, Cloud, Clay, Riley, Pottawatomie, Lincoln, Ottawa, Ellsworth, Saline, Dickinson, Geary, Morris and Wabaunsee).

Who We Are

Child Care Aware® of Northeast and North Central Kansas, previously ERC Resource & Referral, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving families in northeast Kansas. We are supported through funds from United Way, Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Kansas Children's Cabinet, Shawnee county social service funds, memberships, contributions, grants and special projects. Support from the Designers' Showhouse, as grass-roots fundraiser where area designers and craftsmen transform a selected home each year for public tours and activities, also provides critical support for the center.
